Ricotta Cheese With Orange Sauce
Ingredients for 6-7 people
  • 500 g of ricotta (very fresh)
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 5 tablespoons of rum
  • 4-5 oranges
  • 30 g of powdered sugar
  • ½ tablespoon of cornstarch
In a large bowl, whip the eggs with the sugar until pale. Slowly add the rum.
Pass the ricotta through a sieve. Add the ricotta little by little to the egg preparation, whisking slowly. Mix in the grated zest of 2 oranges.

Line the molds with wax paper. Fill with the preparation and level. Cover with a layer of wax paper. Place in freezer for at least 2 hours.

Prepare the sauce: press the oranges. In a saucepan, heat the orange juice, the powdered sugar and the cornstarch, whisking until smooth. Cook on very low heat until sauce has thickened. Set aside and cool completely before serving.

To serve, peel off the wax paper and return the mould on a plate. Drizzle with orange sauce.
